HawkEye - AUAV technology in service of EAC
This research will investigate EAC's mapping needs, that may be fulfilled with the use of Autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, namely, mapping of existing power stations’ facilities, shallow water bathymetry for coastal and marine construction, corridor surveys for over-ground and under-ground lines, direct georeferencing without ground control points and implementation of georeferenced photos directly within a GIS.

Underwater mapping on Mazotos shipwreck site in 45m depth. The project includes daily 3D modeling of the site, rapid mosaicking of images and artifact 3D modeling. In collaboration with ARU of UCy.

Participation in development of an industrial machine vision system which is being developed for the Natural Stone Sector. System development is funded by the EC in the context of an Integrated Research Project (Project Title: IStone, NMP priority FP6). Programming for automatic recognition, measurement and clipping of marble tiles.
